Mid-South Dairy Records Fees

All Mid-South Dairy Records and DRMS fees are based on cow counts.  Test day charges are calculated solely on a cow count in a herd on the previous test day except for DHIA Operating Fees and Mid-South Computer Charges.  All other fees listed are per test charges.

 DHIA Affiliate Fees

            DHIA Operating Fees                                         20 cents per cow month plus $5 per herd 

            Data Entry                                                           5 cents per cow

DHIR or Tri-Star Fee                                           $2 per herd

Testday NonPayment Fee                                  4% of Total Invoice

Mid-South Computer Charge                              5 cents per cow month

Mid-South Meter Fee                                           8 cents per cow

Testday Payment Discount                                4% for Payment on Testday

Lab Fees

            Butterfat, Protein and Somatic Cell                   25 cents per cow       

                                                                                       - Includes “Hotsheet” faxed, e-mailed or from website

             Hotsheet Mailed                                                $1

             Bulk Tank for Fat, Protein, SCC & MUN           FREE with whole herd test

             Chemical MUN Analysis                                   15 cents per cow

                                                                                       $5 Bulk Tank Only

             Sample Shipping                                              $9  plus 2 cents per cow          

                                                                           - covers shipping to and from lab                         

Direct Mail Fees - For herds shipping samples directly to Mid-South for record processing or lab analysis

              Sample Shipping                                              $18  plus 2 cents per cow  

                                                                                        - covers shipping to and from lab 

              Barnsheet Data Entry                                       10 cents per cow month        

 DRPC Fees - Determined by Herd Selection of Reports and Options

            Base Fee                                                             8 cents per cow, minimum of $2.40 per herd

            Monthly Report                                                     2 cents per cow

            Herd Summary                                                     $1.25 per herd

            Cow Pages                                                           1 cent per cow

            Barnsheet                                                             1/2 cent per cow

            PCDART Herd Management Software                $7 plus 10 cents per cow per month, max of $40

            Pocketdairy                                                          $50 Initial Fee then $10 per month

Technician Wages and Travel Expense - Local and Meter

             Determined by each Local Association

Non-Member Lab Fees - Include Return Shipping for 60 or more Samples 

            Butterfat and Protein – or – SCC                              35 cents per sample 

            Butterfat, Protein and Somatic Cell                           50 cents per sample 

            MUN – 30 sample minimum charge                         50 cents per sample
